Mojave Diner

Conceived as a new-build concept, Mojave Diner reinterprets the classic American diner for the Mojave Desert, giving the iconic roadside typology a minimalist and contemporary character. The chrome-clad exterior reflects the surrounding desert landscape, visually blending the building into its environment.

The interior follows the typical diner layout, with booths arranged around the perimeter and a central bar positioned at the opposite side, but the material palette departs from tradition. Wide-plank cerused wood flooring and solid walnut booths with rounded-edge profiles bring warmth and craftsmanship, while ocher leather upholstery adds a subtle richness. White semi-gloss plaster walls and ceilings create a clean backdrop for the green marble bar top and die, complemented by custom pendant and table lamps in the same marble. The back bar, finished in simple fluted plaster, keeps the focus on the refined materials, balancing the familiar diner typology with a calm, contemporary atmosphere.
